Heat and energy
We obtain 182 KW heating output by using a groundwater heat pump and to cover our basic energy needs have invested in the hotel's own photovoltaic facility. If energy needs are higher, more green energy is derived from Tyrolean water power.
All the cooling appliances In the hotel kitchen are equipped with heat recovery which is directly fed into our Infinity panorama pool.
Heating in rooms and apartments is via energy efficient underfloor heating.
We have been able to improve our energy performance certificate from class F to class A (as per OIB guideline 6).
By digitalising our business, paper consumption in the administrative aspects of our business have been minimised as best as possible to protect natural resources.
Hotel and room facilities
Lighting throughout the hotel is via LED lamps and so far as is possible, kitted out with movement sensors.
Electricity is then only used when a guest is in the room.
Due to the Alpine location and thanks to correct ventilation, we deliberately dispense with air conditioning in rooms. However, rooms in the “Modern” category (new building) have pre-conditioned air from our groundwater heat pump. In other words, the air that is blown into the room is pre-cooled with groundwater and then blown in with a difference of up to -7°C to the outside temperature. In other words, if the outside temperature is 30°C in midsummer, it is blown into the room at up to 23°C. The rooms in the ‘Traditional’ category do not have this system due to the local building regulations for our traditional house dating back to 1453.
Bathing slippers are only available from Reception on request.
Water-saving tapware are used in all rooms.
Every room has its own temperature regulator for the underfloor heating, so you can efficiently use the controls to meet your own needs.
Hygiene and cleaning
In our resort only ECO cleaning materials from Hagleitner are used, and we adhere to all environmental protection statutes, as well as quality and hygiene standards by outsourcing bedding supplies.
All rooms are only cleansed on the express request of guests, by way of our signage system.
Towels and bed linen are only replaced if requested by our guests.
We provide precise rubbish sorting options - paper, plastic, glass, metal, specific & organic waste are disposed of separately. All our staff are very well-trained in waste avoidance and sorting.
Honest cuisine
We are proud owners of one of the first processing kitchens in Tyrol. Due to the multi-functional technology, in comparison to standard kitchen divided up into specific stations, not only is 90 % of food waste avoided, up to 40 % less energy is needed too since no open thermal equipment Is used. And with that, no loss of quality of any kind.
All dairy produce and meat comes predominantly from local producers and suppliers, and freshwater fish is only from local waterbodies.
We offer our guests fresh bread every day from the local bakery.
High quality and delicious jams as well as honey are from traditional Tyrolean company Darbo.
